ONLINE EXCURSION, THROUGH INTERACTIVE DISPLAY OF 3D MODEL

Using urban data from various sources makes it possible to model cities in 3D representations, in which detailed information about, among other things air quality, sound levels, visitor streams, economic structure and other factors can be made visible. It is expected that within 10 years all city planning and development will use such 3D representations. In this online excursion, Roland and Jantien will show and discuss a particular 3D representation of a neighborhood in the city of Rotterdam. The excursion will provide a hands-on understanding of what 3D city models entail, as well as a systematic reflection on their potential and challenges.
